Meet Mandy . . .
Born into the small village of Wabamun, Alberta Canada, Mandy McMillan has never known a moment that performing wasn’t her destined path. Her radiant personality, mixed with her love for people transcends through her musical lyrics and live performances, allowing fans to feel intimately connected whether on or off stage. You will find that her sound brings back a sense of nostalgia from the early days of Stevie Nicks combined with nineties songwriter Jewel.
McMillan was five when she began her journey into music and started performing at Christmas concerts with her younger siblings. Her passion for singing began to blossom as she was invited to perform the National Anthem at the local rodeo in her hometown. In 2006, she entered into high school where she took it upon herself to start a rock band, which led to her singing in competitions across Canada. As the stars began to align, so did her career as a solo artist. In 2008, McMillan was chosen as the winner for a singing competition for CMT Canada, where she sang “When You Say Nothing At All” by Alison Krauss. Her success in the competition would later lead her to get her work visa so that she could move to Nashville to pursue her dream. Since moving, her career as an artist has propelled as she already has one album under her belt, has opened for Trisha Yearwood, and performed alongside Kenny Chesney at the 2014 CMA Awards.
McMillan is a by-product of combining hard work with dedication and simply put, pure talent. Her brand new female-driven anthem, “Chasin’ The Ace,” released on October 19 th is nothing short of extraordinary. The track, co-written by McMillan and Canadian songwriter, Lynn Tessari was recently chosen out of over 200 songs as a Top 10 in the “Play For Publisher” event with John Ozier of Ole Music.
Her carefree, vegan-loving, and humble spirit will draw you in whether you’re a returning fan or new to Mandy McMillan’s music. For tour dates and more follow along at Facebook, Instagram, and
