Katie Jolicouer

May 31, 2020

I remember meeting Katie for the first time when we were in elementary school. She has always had such a radiant glow about her and honestly is one of the most beautiful people I have met, inside and out! I have always been in awe of her love for horses, nature, yoga, meditation, the list is endless. Katie is such an inspiration to me not only because she opened up a beautiful yoga and meditation studio Be Free Yoga but because she chose to follow her intuition when it became too much and take a step back from renting a space in four walls and instead chose to focus her energy wisely and step more into the spot of yoga and mindfulness by teaching at another studio. It takes a strong person to “step back” which in my mind has only propelled her forward. I try to take in her yoga classes every chance I get when I’m back home and would drive for hours to be in a room with her to learn and frow from her knowledge. Katie was also one of the first people to take a chance on me and sponsored a package at my very first album release show 6 years ago. It’s this kind of friendship and support that makes our dreams come true and I think of her every time I hear “Dream Catcher” play
